Summer Skin Detox

With holidays, beach parties and long evenings in beer gardens it’s easy for skin to start feeling dull when we over indulge. Summer is a great time to refresh and detox skin so why not take some time to rejuvenate your skin with our summer skin detox tips.

Green Tea Detox & Exfoliate

Herbal Healing

A great way to ease into a detox is through herbal teas. A classic green is a perfect way to keep you feeling energised throughout the day and also has been shown to naturally increase your skin's UV resistance. Drinking green tea can reduce inflammation and redness associated with sun exposure (But we still recommend wearing SPF daily). We love the Moroccan Mint blend by Fortnum & Mason for a more refreshing way to enjoy this detoxifying tea leaf.

Banish Dull Skin

Refresh tired skin with gentle exfoliation, our Exfoliating Mask with astringent red seaweed eliminates dead cells on the surface to smooth, refine and brighten the skin. Whilst Kaolin absorbs excess oil and mattifies the complexion. Treat your body with our Exfoliating Shower Gel, not only does gently buff skin with natural cellulose extract it detoxifies and energises skin with Vitamin E, jasmine and green tea.

Eat your skin happy

Get your heart rate going

Cleanse toxins from the body and get your heart pumping with some cardio. A run through the forest or a boxing session will get the oxygen flowing and clear out impurities through some serious sweating. Not only beneficial to the skin of course but the body and mind. If you fancy feeling the heat in a more relaxed setting hot the sauna or steam room - the warm temperatures are another way to draw out toxins.

“A vital part of my summer skin care regime is drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Not only are they delicious but they are an amazing source of vitamins that work to keep skin glowing from the inside out”

A Vitamin Boost

Whether you prefer your fruit and vegetables blended in a delicious smoothie or in a beautifully presented in a culinary creation it's vital to nourish your body with these skin superheroes. We love Wendy Rowe's 'Eat Beautiful' which is packed full of amazing recipes for keeping your skin in good health. We like the look of the kiwi pancakes - a colourful breakfast or even dessert.
